Biography

In 2007, Alexander graduated from Physical Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), Russia and started his PhD program in Space Research Department of Lomonosov Moscow State University Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics (MSU SINP). In the same year he started working at MSU SINP as Juniour Researcher. In 2011 he defend PhD theses “The neutron flux, related to the thunderstorm activity in the upper atmosphere” (in Russian: “Поток нейтронов, связанный с грозовой активностью, за пределами атмосферы”). In 2012 he became a winner of the prize for young physicists, established by 23rd European Cosmic Ray Symposium. In the same year he obtained the Fellowship for young scientists (MSU SINP). Alexander has been working at University of California Los Angeles, Department of Earth, Planetary and Space Science as a postdoctoral scholar since November 2012. Starting from October 2015, Alexadner is an assistant researcher.
